What We Care For

Projects for 2023:
“The Arts give a voice to the marginalized.”
Due to generous donations in 2023, Project Outrageous Love was able to provide art classes
and art therapy nearly every week to the orphan kids. We were able to provide food and clothing
for Palestinian orphan kids in Zarqa this year at Eid Al-Fitr. Three more laptops for the orphans
for orphan homes were funded. Project Outrageous Love also made two humanitarian aid trips
to Lebanon in partnership with Greenhouse Giving.

Projects for 2022:
“The Arts give a voice to the marginalized.”
In 2022, because of the generous donations from so many, Project Outrageous Love was able to be involved in multiple projects across Jordan in the most underserved and under-resourced communities. We took art and drama camps to many different areas and reached approximately 600 children. These camps focused on educating children on various issues including specific social issues and needs each community is facing. We also helped resource a large girl’s school in Maan in the district of Al-Husseineya with an English storybook library. This school has an English program, but lacks the English resources to help encourage and strengthen young readers.
Project Outrageous Love was also involved in multiple orphan projects throughout the year and the different holidays. We were able to help provide food and clothing to orphan kids during the Muslim holidays and laptops and a printer to an orphanage at Christmas.
Sport Camps:
In 2017-2018, we partnered with the Queen Rania Teachers Academy and the Ministry of Education to provide sports equipment and camps to 22 schools in some of the most underserved areas in Jordan. These schools were a mix of Jordanian and refugee kids from Palestine, Iraq, Syria, and Yemen. Schools in Jordan have been hit hard by the refugee crisis with class sizes literally doubling overnight in some areas. This project was a combined effort from Christian and Muslim communities working together.

Art and Drama Camps:
Project Outrageous Love brought 21 art and drama camps to underprivileged areas of Jordan during the summer of 2021 These camps used the arts to educate at-risk kids on different topics depending on the needs of the village. Topics included social and cultural issues, as well as the dangers of drinking dirty water and swimming in the farming canal. We spent a great deal of time in the Al-Ghor valley where kids are dying every month from swimming in the canal and drinking water. The impact of this project was greater than we could have ever imagined.
Refugee Orphans:
In partnership with a small Jordanian company and Daraghmeh Clothing, Project Outrageous Love provided clothing for Eid al Adha and school supplies to 62 refugee orphans from a Palestinian camp in 2019. Kids were able to choose their own clothing and were brought into Amman for a special lunch and day to play.
